Magic Books

2 August @ 19:30 - 22:00

A presentation by Paul Jackson

The World is awash with Magic Books but which are the best? Which are worth buying and which are best left on the bookseller’s shelfs.

Is there a story behind any of the books and what ten books could be worth buying in order to create a library that would be valuable?

In a personal tour Paul Jackson will identify ten books that he considers ‘key’ and along the way explain why these ten are the ones to buy while avoiding some others. If you want to build a small but solid library or are looking for a text that will be a solid investment, this will answer that need. The talk will be interspersed with a number of ‘tricks’ that have taught something fundamental from Magicians who have walked the walk, just so no-one can say ‘he can talk the talk’ – but what about ‘walking the walk?’

A brief handout will accompany the day’s presentation which will provide details of ‘the ten’ but also identify some of the theorists key recommendations. As a ‘one-off’ it should be an evening to enjoy and benefit from.
